Workshop Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. You will be responsible for the repair and refurbishment of many differnt types of recycling machinery including balers, conveyor and shredders This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the levels of refurbisment or repair required.

- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding

- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that finished products meet the required standards

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within deadlines

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role

- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles

- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools

- Welding experience, including stick welding, is required

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
