Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team at Sunderland. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy and demanding role alongside an established team to further identify and implement process efficiencies, continuing to offer outstanding customer service.

The main duties for this role include:

· Leading and taking responsibility for the team in our busy warehouse and yard area

· Leading on all aspects of warehouse operations ensuring the organised and controlled distribution of our products to customers.

· Ensuring all stocks are correctly and safely stored and suitably maintained.

· Attend to customers with an efficient and courteous service.

· Ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources to maximise on productivity.

· Organise and maintain the efficient use of transport to fulfil customer delivery requirements.

· Supervising loading of vehicles and overseeing vehicle maintenance.

· Organise waste facilities as necessary.

· Arranging training as required.

· Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a builder's merchant

· Full UK driving licence

· Fork lift truck license, although full training can be provided.

· Class 2 HGV license, ideally

o Full training can be provided to candidates who have the desire to gain their HGV licence.

· Excellent organisation skills

· Adaptability and resilience, responding to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment,

  • Warehouse Management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07.30am to 5.00pm plus alternate Saturdays 08.00am to 12.00pm.,
