Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Systems Development Officer who will support the Virtual School Headteacher to ensure the Local Authority meets all of its priorities and statutory responsibilities in relation to the education of vulnerable children and young people.
The Virtual School have an effective and experienced team who are passionate about ensuring vulnerable children and young people receive an education which meets their individual needs and works effectively with our partners to raise educational standards, promote inclusion and wellbeing, and improve the life chances of our young people.
Successful candidates will have the confidence to work with a variety of management information systems and local and national data sets relating to educational outcomes for our children and young people.

A key feature of role is the collection and processing of data both within the team and from internal and external sources, including data from partner agencies.

The postholder will be expected to:

Work with key stakeholders associated with the development of digital solutions in order to develop, improve and maintain data and information processes, contributing to the delivery and reporting requirements of the Virtual School function.
Support the Virtual School Headteacher and colleagues to utilise and improve internal digital systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of digital information.
Provide Business Support and additional technical knowledge, in accordance with developed systems, statutory procedures, legislation, corporate standard and policies.

The Virtual School team safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with the Together for Children's Safeguarding Policies.

This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
