Full Job Description

· Working with a highly motivated and experienced team including a Veterinary Surgeon (Co-Director of the Clinic) who is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and has a General Practitioners Certificate in Pain Management and Western Veterinary Acupuncture.

· Assessing the needs of each animal accurately and devise a tailor-made treatment plan

· Providing expert physiotherapy, laser therapy and hydrotherapy techniques to care for a variety of animals, but in particular our canine friends, to enhance their rehabilitation.

· Collaborating with vets and other professionals to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.

· Educating pet owners on at-home care techniques to enhance treatments plans

· Monitoring and maintaining water quality and cleaning all areas thoroughly at the end of the day

STAR Vet Clinic is looking to appoint a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist with additional Hydrotherapy qualifications and experience who will work with our Rehabilitation Team. The successful candidate will be polite, reliable, self-motivated and passionate about their role in making a positive impact on animal health. They will be able to work confidently as a sole practitioner or as part of our highly experienced team. They will have a degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy (newly qualified graduates would be considered) and, if possible, be affiliated to one of the following: NAVP, ACPAT or IRVAP as a registered practitioner.

Our Veterinary Surgery is an independent, family run business and was born as a result of our dedication to making animals better at our Support, Therapy and Rehabilitation (S.T.A.R.) Clinic. We are proud to be one of only a handful of Vet-led referral clinics in the UK, dedicated to rehabilitation, pain management and canine sports medicine and our rehab patients are either currently under our care or are referred to us from other Veterinary Practices. We have many clients who travel long distances to ensure that their pets obtain the best possible expert care.

This position will be part time - 21 hours per week and the selected candidate will be expected to work Thursdays and Fridays 08.00 - 19.00 with the option of working every Saturday or 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am -1pm, all Saturdays will be paid as overtime). The salary will be up to £28,000 (pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience., · Competitive salary
