The drive to support students to overcome their barriers to learning alongside good teamworking and communication skills are vital in this role., Please note this role constitutes 'regulated activity' as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.

Hours: 11.1 hours per week, term time only (34 weeks per year)

This is an exciting time for University Centre Reaseheath (UCR) as our Higher Education programmes continue to grow and develop. Our Inclusive Learning Team delivers bespoke in-house support for undergraduate students, allowing each one to reach their full potential. We are seeking to increase our support capacity by recruiting a Specialist Support Professional to deliver DSA funded 1:1 specialist support to students.
This could be through one or more of the following roles:

  • Specialist Mentoring (Mental Health)

  • Specialist Mentoring (Autism)

  • Specialist Study Skills and Strategy Support (Specific Learning Difficulty)

  • Specialist Study Skills and Strategy Support (Autism)
