Full Job Description

TU Online Ltd is looking for an academic Tutor, to deliver 100 percent online BEng Tech, HND and HNC courses in Chemical and Process Engineering to online students.

The successful candidate will ensure the high quality of teaching upon the courses, conduct marking and assessment and provide feedback. Tutors are expected to provide online tuition, assessment of students' work according to given marking schemes, and giving feedback to students to help them in their learning, providing academic support through online tuition teaching methods.

To be considered for the role it is desirable you will be able to evidence experience in the following areas; Chemical and Process Engineering, Industry 4.0 and process automation, Engineering design, Engineering maths, Engineering science, Heat transfer and fluid mechanics, Mass and energy balances, Thermodynamics, Chemical process design, Reactors and bioreactors, Advanced process operations, Environment and sustainable processing, Reactors and catalysis, Renewable energy, Low-carbon systems, Environment and sustainable processing and/or Unit operations.

You will be the first point of contact for students for module-related and study-related advice and support, and monitor the progress of students on their module, including making contact with students who do not submit assignments and implementing appropriate interventions, where required.

The role would suit candidates with previous online learning experience in higher education, the background and skills as detailed, who enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive working environment.
