BH Live is recruiting for an experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Fairfield Halls.

Fairfield Halls is an iconic arts, events and conference venue, which hosts a year-round programme of events including concerts, cultural performances, musicals and plays, conferences and exhibitions, business events, retail catering and banquets.

You will work across all venues within Fairfield Halls and be a key part of the technical management team. You will assist the Technical Stage and Operations Manager in ensuring the site is compliant with inspection and testing requirements as per BH Live policies, local council requirements and our insurance policies.

You will:

  • Have a primary focus for the safe and efficient delivery of productions and events.

  • Line manage contracted and casual technical colleagues.

  • Be the primary contact for incoming productions and events and work in close collaboration with other colleagues within the technical management team.

  • Ensure safe working practices are understood and observed by everyone within your own areas and also in the wider building

    Previous experience in managing or supervising a technical department.

  • Experience in the operations and safe construction of staging, live sound, lighting and AV

  • A thorough knowledge of current legislation inc PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and mains distribution BS7909.
