Technical Content Writer

Join the Group as a Technical Content Writer, supporting a busy team working to raise awareness of the Surelock McGill Group through written content for email newsletters, news articles, webinars, product launches and paid promotional content.

As a member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for the delivery of all written content across the Group, both print and digital. Your role will involve crafting a clear and easy to understand tone of voice for each business, ensuring consistent and accurate content across all Group communications, websites and literature. You will work closely with the stakeholders at each Group company to plan, create and execute a communications plan for each business, working with our external creative agency to bring these plans to life.,

• Responsible for the creation of all written content across channels, for different business areas


• Monitor and manage written content across Group websites, literature and other assets to ensure consistent and accurate information


• Liaise with Sales, Technical and Production teams to create technically accurate content


• Planning and writing blog posts which discuss the latest trends in the security industry, whilst also promoting particular products


• Working closely with other members of the Marketing Team to ensure that tone of voice is consistent and on brand


This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities involved in the role and the scope of the job may change in line with operational requirements.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive individual with previous experience writing technical content within the manufacturing/engineering industry. You will have a level of autonomy to develop this position, working closely with several different stakeholders internally.

• Demonstrable experience as a technical writer (2+ years) creating content for B2B brands


• Strong written and oral communication skills


• Impeccable spelling and grammar


• Ability to prioritise workload independently, with strong organisational and planning abilities


• Thorough in approach, diligent, with keen attention to detail


• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills


• Flexible, calm under pressure and takes ownership


• Literacy in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
