Full Job Description

Plympton Academy is seeking to appoint a high quality Teacher of PE to join our team of committed professionals teaching our students from years 7 - 13 on a Fixed Term basis. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner with a passion for PE that enthuses and engages students of all abilities and ages, having high expectations of all students to help them fulfil their potential.
You will be joining an Academy that has a strong reputation for PE and Sports which boasts strong sporting facilities, to include a 3G pitch, Multi-Use Games Area & Activity Studio. With a dynamic and progressive curriculum at the heart of everything we do, we have exceptionally high levels of participation throughout the curriculum in a range of sports and activities alongside a very strong extra-curricular provision.

  • Be a qualified Teacher of Physical Education and able to deliver up to Key Stage 5

  • Be passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour

  • Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum

  • High expectations for yourself and the Students to ensure that every student achieves their very best

  • You will be dedicated to ensure that all of our children achieve their very best

  • An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities

  • Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools

    £30,863 - £47,182 a year - Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, TSAT pay scales are above the national pay scales
