Full Job Description

  • Partner closely with recruiting managers across HSDC to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies that attract diverse candidates who align with our values and contribute to our student's success.

  • Work collaboratively with the People & OD Assistant to advertise, promote and recruit to vacancies providing leadership and support to develop them in their role

  • Develop and manage inclusive recruitment processes, challenging ways of thinking and ensuring fairness and accessibility throughout the candidate journey.

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional bodies, and community organisations to source diverse talent pipelines.

  • Lead and attend external and internal recruitment events to showcase HSDC as an employer of choice.

  • Maintain HSDC's sponsorship licence liaising with international staff, managing the SMS system and recording keeping, and supporting staff to apply for and renew their visas

  • Develop and deliver recruitment and selection training and workshops to promote inclusive practices within HSDC.

  • Analyse recruitment and workforce data to identify areas for improvement, addressing any potential gaps in our diverse team

  • Monitor agency spend and seek to implement strategies to reduce this.

  • Provide a Business Partner service for the People Services team and participate in case work to support the People Services Business Partners when required including being part of a hearing panel for disciplinaries and grievances.

  • Work closely with the People Services Assistants and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires from diverse backgrounds

    A CIPD qualification at level 5 or above

  • Experience of partnering within both an in-house recruitment and a HR context.

  • An ability to work confidently with staff at all levels providing support and challenge

  • A commitment to ensuring compliance with processes, safeguarding requirements and excellence customer service

  • Resilience and creativity to ensure that hard to recruit to roles are successfully filled

  • The confidence to train, present and engage with a diverse range of people

  • A commitment to removing barriers, driving forward inclusion and ensuring the success of our staff and students

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Talent and Inclusion Partner to join our team within People Services at HSDC. In this role, your main focus will be attracting, developing, and retaining successful and talented staff. You will play a critical role in building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. You will champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.


  • 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

    Contract: Permanent
