Full Job Description

The clients are very active and love being out in the community, whether it is for their voluntary work, a shopping trip or going to the library. One is involved in the local Warriors rugby club, and others enjoy going to Cardiff to see shows. There is a lot of activity to keep up with!

What is the Role?

You will contribute to enabling people to set, develop and achieve their goals, being part of which is highly rewarding.

You will be involved in all aspects of day to day support for our clients, including;

  • Supporting with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and laundry

  • Supporting clients to keep in touch with family and friends

  • Accompanying them on weekends away

  • Encouraging them in their jobs or voluntary work

  • Support with medication and health visits

  • Providing social and emotional support

    We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated support workers to join us to help our clients thrive in their everyday lives. Our service in Llanelli supports 3 adults with learning disabilities to live independently in their community., Experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities is not essential as you will benefit from full training and support from your team and management.

    More important to us are your listening skills, empathy, a genuine desire to make a difference and live our values to be Positive, Considerate and Connected.

    There are various daytime shift times and sleep ins overnight.

    For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

    To work in this role you will need to be registered with Social Care Wales. If you're not already we'll help you do this as part of your recruitment process.

    A driver is preferred, but not essential.
