Full Job Description

As our Supplier Development Technician, your role will be to support supplier development activities and the production of related supplier performance management information. To improve supplier capability for safety, quality and time imperatives by continuous improvement activity., The key duties the successful candidate will be required to carry out will include but are not limited to:

- Management of supplier safety and quality data metrics, including:

- Gathering data from various sources
- Validation of supplier data and escalation of information through pre-defined routes
- Sharing Operating Experience information for salient events
- Periodic reporting of supplier performance trends and recommendations, with support from Supplier Development Engineer and Fleet Contract Managers.
- Chairing Monthly Safety and Quality review meetings
- Preparation of monthly performance dashboards for presentation in various forums with internal and external stakeholders

- Assist in the approvals process for new and current suppliers using the Supplier Management Portal
- Oversight and support to the supplier audit and assessments programme, including maintenance of the plan and document control of the audit and assessment reports.
- Support to development of supplier improvement plans and monitoring progress.
- Co-ordination of a resource meeting to ensure availability of resource for key maintenance periods
- Maintain and develop supply chain operations team processes and objectives
- Support and manage supplier forums and corporate initiatives as required
- Support and where necessary, lead supplier expediting activity.

For this role, you will have a minimum of a Level 4 NVQ or equivalent in a relevant technical subject. A HNC or degree would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will have experience in supplier quality, procurement, or manufacturing engineering with an understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
You'll possess knowledge of statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques and excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
You will be detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities, proficient in Microsoft Office and have the willingness to travel to supplier and EDF locations as needed (up to 25%).

Ideally you will have experience in a regulated industry.

This role is based out of our Gloucester office, and will be working to a hybrid model of both office and home based working with some travel around the fleet required.

Pay, benefits and culture

We can offer a competitive salary from £32,127
- £37,169 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement based on your demonstration of competences, experience, and qualifications. We offer a company pension scheme, 28 days annual holiday and a range of flexible benefits.
