What does the Stores & Maintenance Person role entail:
To operate the Centre's equipment stores on a day-to-day basis to manage the issue, return and maintenance of activity equipment and clothing. To oversee and manage the kit stores and activity equipment. To give support to the general maintenance function of the centre.

Your day will consist of …

  • Issuing outdoor equipment to staff and participants to of Lakeside's programmes.

  • Keeping the activity equipment stores organised, secure, clean and tidy.

  • Ensuring all equipment/clothing/tools and cleaning materials are recorded.

  • Cleaning and maintaining all activity equipment ready for use.

  • Updating stock records relating to equipment maintenance, loss or damage.

  • Assisting in the organising of monthly activity safety checks and documentation.

    A flexible approach and be willing to carry out a variety of tasks.

  • Some previous maintenance and repair knowledge.

  • Great attention to detail and value excellent customer service.

  • Team working skills and can work on your own initiative or as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.


  • Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
