Full Job Description

At Aspens We work across Kent and Sussex; supporting individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and
physical disabilities across residential care homes, supported living homes, day services and our fantastic outreach programme.

Our Charity shops play a huge role in the fundraising and generation income that helps allow Aspens to support people on a daily
basis.

As Store Supervisor you will work within our Crowborough Charity Shop to provide cover for our store in the absence of the Manager
and Assistant Manager.

This contract will be on a relief basis, but we would ask that you be willing to also volunteer some hours in order to stay
up-to-date with the store and our volunteer staff.

In your role as Supervisor your duties will include:

  • Providing cover for the shop in the manager's absence.

  • Assisting the manager to manage the day to day running of the shop.

  • Optimising sales.

  • Maintaining effective stock management and merchandising.

  • Supervising shop volunteers.

  • Carrying out shop administration.

  • Ensuring Aspens policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, Any offer would be subject to Disclosure and Barring checks, which we will complete on your behalf if you don't already have one,

    of the charity.

    As an ideal Supervisor at Aspens you should:

  • Be flexible to cover shifts in the absence of the manager on an ad hoc basis

  • Desirably have previous experience as a supervisor

  • Desirably have recognised training in customer service and leadership/ management

  • Desirably have experience supporting volunteers

  • Be willing to work further voluntary shifts in order to keep up-to-date with the store., Disability Confident
