Full Job Description

· Leadership to the team always acting as a positive role model.

· Carry out and complete daily shift planning and handover.

· Provide effective supervision of your team in line with the Care Regulations

· You will motivate, support and mentor the staff.

· You will carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual support required by the children and young people in our care, complete relevant paperwork, and where appropriate administer medication.

· You will create positive relationships with the children & young people, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.

· Have an NVQ 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce, Children's Residential Care or equivalent.

· Have at least one years' experience working in a Children's Residential setting, as a care worker, support worker or residential children's support worker

· Be able to work average 40 hours per week, on 1 on 2 off rota.

· Ideally have experience of working with or caring for children, as a support worker, residential care worker or personal experience, but more importantly having life skill from a range of backgrounds as we can train the rest.

· Excellent communicator

· Basic computer skills are essential.

· Flexible and hardworking

All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and subject to fully Enhanced DBS.,

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (required)
