Full Job Description

Joining an established team based at our Merthyr ( South Wales ) facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders that will require close liaison and co-operation with the Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams. A key aspect of the role is supporting non-conformity management and working with various stakeholders to develop root cause and appropriate corrective actions to resolve the issue while deploying effective containment to support the business. Development and management of various quality documentation related to the project.

If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:

  • Lead and drive production non-conformances into RCCA A3 format to drive out quality issues

  • Undertake as part of a cross functional team the analysis of non-conformances identified during production to ensure that problems are addressed, and appropriate corrective action is taken. To establish trends and root cause analysis. Feedback any subcontractor supplied non-conformance.

  • Undertake as part of a cross functional team the generation and management of PFMEAs, control plans and inspection scripts.

    General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Senior Programme Quality Engineer to join our established Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £41,600 to £52,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally., Solid root cause investigation experience is essential.

  • Experience/knowledge of PFMEA as Control Plans.

  • Good knowledge of ISO9001:2015.

  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.

  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours and shifts, willing to travel within and outside the UK.
