Senior Formulation Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Formulation Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team. The successful candidate will lead the formulation development efforts, designing and optimizing formulations for various dosage forms while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Senior Formulation Scientist will play a critical role in advancing our pipeline of pharmaceutical products from concept to commercialization., 1.

• Formulation Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of formulations for pharmaceutical products, including oral solids, liquids, semi-solids, and topical formulations.

• Experimental Design and Execution: Design and conduct experiments to evaluate formulation strategies, excipient compatibility, and stability to ensure product efficacy and safety.

• Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes for scale-up and commercialization, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production of pharmaceutical products.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulation activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA guidelines and ICH guidelines.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of formulation development activities, prepare technical reports, and contribute to regulatory submissions as needed.

• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  
  1. Education: PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a proven track record of successfully leading formulation projects from concept to commercialization.

• Technical Skills:


- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation principles and techniques.

- Experience with various dosage forms, including solid oral dosage forms, liquid formulations, and topical preparations.

- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, DSC, and FTIR.

- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab) is desirable.

- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing junior scientists.

• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address formulation challenges effectively.
