Are you a data driven, analytical individual who is looking to join a growing and dynamic company in a role that will make a real impact? We are seeking a senior e-commerce marketing executive to join our team to drive sales and online enquiries for Cotterill Civils - one of the UK's leading drainage merchants.

This is an opportunity to join us as we go through a period of innovative change, including an exciting company rebranding project.

Alongside the Marketing Director and our E comm team, you'd be responsible for transforming our customers' online journey and maximising traffic to our website, working closely with our SEO and PPC agencies.

Main responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on the management of the website. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with our website development agency to continually improve the user experience of our website

  • Managing the data content of our website, adding new products, pricing updates and videos etc.

  • Driving website conversion rate, optimization initiatives, including design changes, content and third party tools e.g. Hotjar, Shogun, Reviews etc.

  • Managing our pricing strategy through up-to-the-minute analysis of competitor pricing, maintaining our desired margins

  • Working collaboratively with the wider marketing and sales team to continually analyse and improve digital campaigns and the website to ensure customer engagement and conversion is fully optimised

  • Working closely with our SEO agency to make on-site changes to maximise relevant traffic to our website

  • Working closely with our PPC agency to develop the assets for paid social

  • Producing of marketing materials to support the website, such as videos, brochures etc.

  • Producing of engaging automated emails to our customer database as part of the user journey

  • Creating regular insightful, engaging analytics reports and use this data to drive decisions on how we can further improve

    Marketing, business or related degree or CIM qualification preferred


  • At least two year's experience in a digital marketing role

    Excellent Microsoft Excel and analytical skills

    UK Driving License

    Skills & experience
  • Software and computer skills - particularly use of Excel

  • Experience with website platform, ideally Shopify

  • Experience managing websites

  • Knowledge of PPC and SEO

  • Use of various design tools

  • A clear and concise communication style, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of the Adobe suite - particularly photoshop

  • Confidence and strong interpersonal skills

  • Numerical skills

  • Commercial awareness

  • Writing of content such as blog, website copy or emails

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A good team player

  • A proactive, positive and can do attitude

  • Problem solving, self-motivation and initiative, Bachelor's (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • Digital marketing: 2 years (required)

  • Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
