Full Job Description

At Advocacy in Greenwich, we work to make sure that people with
a learning disability are empowered to fully participate in the wider
community. We also work with local communities and our members
to challenge common assumptions or biases about those with
learning disabilities which impact their experience of living and
working in the Borough.

We are proud of our 30-year record of running successful advocacy
projects giving people with a learning disability a voice in the
services that they use and the opportunities that are available to
them.

The People's Parliament is funded through a grant from the Royal
Borough of Greenwich to provide an independent voice for people
with a learning disability about the things that affect them within
the Borough and the Council's services in particular.

Eight MPs have been elected for a four-year term and work in pairs
in four constituencies - East, West, South and Central Greenwich.

The MPs talk about their work at meetings of the Greenwich
Learning Disability Partnership Board which take place quarterly.
The Project Worker will support the People's Parliament MPs in their
work within their constituencies and in reporting to the Partnership
Board.
