Full Job Description

  • To comply with all legal requirements for HGV Drivers

  • To always drive Company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any Company standards

  • To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency

  • To comply with all Company delivery and collection procedures, e.g. picking from bulk order load, order adjustment, health and safety

  • To comply with Company standards for customer service

  • To report any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels immediately to your Line Manager

  • To follow Company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, Company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets, pallets, store returns and buffer stock.

  • To comply with all Company requirements for Driver training and communications

  • To carry out any duties, as required by the Company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

    Possess an appropriate driving license

  • Conscientious and flexible

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Customer orientated

    Salary: £36,942

    The role involves delivering and collecting bakery products to customers, suppliers, and other organisations, as the business requires, working 5 days out of 7 or 4 days out of 7 with early starts from 00:30.
  • 33 days holidays including Bank Hols for 5 day contract (this will be pro-rated for 4 days)
