Full Job Description

It's an exciting time to join the team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UKandI businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. We're looking for a Release Manager to join us on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
You'll support the existing release team to ensure that both business as usual and cloud releases keep to schedule and are consistent and smooth through non production and production environments. You'll coordinate and run the implementation, managing release issues and measuring the effectiveness of releases to identify and implement improvements, optimising delivery.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for overall release planning and liaison with key contacts to deliver the agreed functionality to agreed timescales on the cloud and commercial insurance releases
Reviewing release content and scope to identify and communicate any increase in risk, impact or issues relating to the release as a whole
Managing release status communications with key stakeholders
Ensuring release readiness for pre-production and production check points
Defining, documenting, and communicating the release process to stakeholders
Managing resulting warranty periods ensuring any production defects are identified and resolved in line with business expectations
Identifying, delivering and communicating process improvements
