An opportunity has arisen for a RVN who has a passion for high clinical standards and exceptional customer care to join our friendly and supportive team. Our nursing team is currently dedicated to small animal nursing so no experience in large animal would be necessary, although the opportunity to assist on the large animal side may be available if desired. Our nurses' skills are highly valued, and you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge to your true potential. We run regular nurse clinics and actively encourage nurses to perform schedule 3 procedures where they feel confident. We have a large and varied case load enabling the nursing team to rotate between theatre, circulatory nurse, inpatient care and consulting, this is done on a rota basis to ensure variety and job satisfaction to the whole team. Training and mentoring are very important to us, and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. We are a Veterinary Nurse training practice

The Haven Veterinary Group is a 2-site practice in beautiful East Yorkshire with one site situated close to the busy city centre of Hull, and the other in a lovely village just on the outskirts giving you a great mix of rural and city life. We are RCVS accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm and Equine and an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly practice.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to developing higher quality of first opinion pet care, whilst gaining the opportunity for internal career progression.

The role is based on a 37.5 hour week, working 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm Monday - Friday. Weekends are worked on a 1:7 rota, 8 am to 4 pm Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm Sunday with a day off in lieu and overtime paid for the Sunday. No OOH as this is covered by Vets Now giving you a much-desired work / life balance.
