Full Job Description

  • Attending and leading career events (both in person and virtual) to drive engagement and applications

  • Identifying and developing key stakeholder relationships with relevant professional bodies and faculties/departments within further and higher educational providers to promote careers within the Army

  • Working with key Army stakeholders to coordinate recruitment activity

    This position is responsible for delivering attraction and recruiting activities to identify potential candidates for the officer recruiting programme. specified professionally qualified and/or specialist roles within a senior talent programme. Key to the role is exceptional customer focus and a positive attitude to professionally overcoming challenges. In addition to requiring a high standard of verbal and written communication skills the role involves working with a range of stakeholders whose input is critical to overall success.


  • This role will be based out of Newcastle and will cover Newcastle, Carlisle, Middleburgh and Lancaster with the ability to work from home when not travelling.,
  • Established and proven commercial recruiter from a diverse and inclusive recruitment environment

  • Ideally, will have recruitment experience with the Armed Forces

  • Strong negotiator with people influencing skills

  • Highly ambitious and focused

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Confident to lead initiatives in an autonomous environment

  • Broad understanding of the graduate and/or professional recruitment market and key drivers

  • Be aware of the latest social media tools to attract and engage with candidates

  • Flexible work attitude and willingness to travel to meet the needs of the business as well as working occasional evenings/weekends on ad hoc basis


  • Successful candidates must hold a full UK Driving License and will be required to pass a DBS Check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)

  • Offering a salary of £37,000 to £42,000 plus company car & potential bonus of up to 6% of salary
