Full Job Description

You will work with BPRCVS colleagues, People & Skills programme delivery partners, and contacts at relevant external agencies and local partnerships to identify and recruit suitable and eligible economically inactive people from the BB10, 11 & 12 postcode areas to participate in the Shared Prosperity People & Skills programme.,

  • Support Project Co-ordinator in locating and recruiting economically inactive people who are looking for extra income, training or progression

  • Locate participants from the BB10, 11 & 12 postcode areas

  • Develop and maintain relationships with organisations and individuals who have contact with economically inactive people

  • Attend events, groups, coffee mornings, schools etc., to promote the project and recruit participants

  • Make appointments for clients to attend sessions with Project Co-ordinator

  • Communicate information regularly with Admin. Support and the Project Co-ordinator

  • Complete project paperwork

  • Meet weekly with project staff to prioritise tasks

  • Work with project Co-ordinator and Admin. Support to collate monthly figures and reports

  • Work to a target driven environment

  • To attend relevant training and events, To support the overall ethos, principles and practices of BPRCVS.

  • To participate in BPRCVS staff team with regard to all matters that require a team approach.

  • To undertake any other duties which may from time to time be required and which are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post.

  • Post holder must adhere to all organisational guidelines and policies and pay particular attention to

  • Experience and skills in working in a community setting

  • Experience and skills in networking with inter-agency partnerships

  • Experience and skills in working with statutory agencies and building partnerships

  • Experience and skills in communications with professional staff in other organisations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of benefits system and employment development

  • Experience in employability environment


  • Organisational abilities:
  • A good standard of general education

  • Understanding of the VCF (voluntary, community and faith sector) and BPRCVS

  • Understanding of the project and it's aims and objectives

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Outlook/e-mails

  • Ability to work to targets set out, assessed weekly/monthly

  • Good telephone manner

  • Presentation skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to meet the travel needs of the role
