Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who supports patients in the community with complex health needs? Can you manage a tracheostomy and assist clients who require non-invasive ventilation?

Rapid Response Nurse:

Working as a rapid response nurse within the complex care team at Superior Healthcare, you will be clinically supporting our clients in their own homes when their regular team members are unable to support them.

You will work with clients with a wide variety of life-limiting conditions, including conditions from birth, degenerative conditions, spinal injuries and brain injuries, as well as those requiring interventions such as ventilations, gastrostomy and bowel management.

You will work night shifts on weekdays and weekends, following a 2-week rota averaging 35 hours per week.

As well as directly supporting the clients, you may find yourself assisting with the training and induction of Healthcare Support Workers or Nurses to provide a greater level of support and contingency for the clients that we support.,

  • Attend CPD events and reflect on your practice regularly in line with NMC guidelines/revalidation requirements.

  • Deliver exceptional and person-centred care according to care plans, best practice guidelines, and company policies.

  • Advocate for clients' best interests while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, report concerns promptly and complete any relevant documentation.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and infection control measures.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining quality care delivery standards.

  • Support new members of the team on shift and guide them through the client's care plan, regular tasks, and important information.
