Full Job Description

As part of your role in successful leading and managing key projects and stakeholder relationships you'll:

  • Ensure all actions taken are fully compliant with relevant legislative and regulatory requirement.

  • When the workload demands, act as a Project Manager for assigned project(s) and delegate for the PPM as appropriate.

  • Coordinate potential new projects as they arise ensuring that quality DON's / Project Briefs are provided to PAM for consideration into the Project Portfolio.

  • To develop new projects from inception to Gate A having carried out initial optioneering and value engineering.

  • Establish the baseline Scope, Quality, Schedule and Cost for your projects in line with MTP and ALR2 budgets as well as reporting accurately to reflect the Project position.

  • Work closely with Architect Engineers as key members of your Project Team to deliver fit for purpose solutions in a safe manner to meet or surpass the Project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.

  • Secure the required resource to meet project requirements, ensuring all involved are SQEP.

  • Develop and conduct effective execution strategies to help in achieving the overall project objectives.

  • Ensure effective project change control is implemented when significant changes to scope, schedule or cost are identified.

  • Maximise learning opportunities making full use of OpEx.

  • Keep your stakeholders both internal and external informed and updated with performance, issues and risks throughout.

  • Ensure effective risk and issue mitigation.

  • Leading and coaching your project team to maximise efficient and effective delivery.

    You'll hold a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or relevant discipline. It would be advantageous if you also hold a relevant certification, for example APMQ

    We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £84,892 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
