This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to join MyTime Cumbria as a Senior Practitioner - Primary Mental Health Worker (Maternity Cover) to support and strengthen the provision of emotional and mental health support for children and young people building capacity and capability within community services in relation to prevention, early identification, and intervention.

This role is based in South Cumbria covering Millom, Furness, and South Lakeland. Working days are Monday to Friday with some flexible working hours and travel across the locality as required.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

Children's and young people's emotional health and wellbeing
Improving outcomes for children and young people
Working with stake holders across the community
The successful candidate must have:

RMN/ CQSW/ DipSW/ BSc.OT or other relevant professional qualification
Significant Post registration experience of working in a Child and Adolescent Mental health Service or equivalent
A comprehensive understanding of children's safeguarding
Knowledge of child and adolescent development and the role of the family in supporting children and young people's emotional well-being
Experience in developing and / or delivering training
Ability to use own initiative and work without close supervision within agreed protocols, You must demonstrate in your application that you currently use the skills outlined above, and in the Job Descriptions, or have used them previously in employment, education, training, volunteering etc. This should be done with an understanding of the context of the service described., Disability Confident
