Full Job Description

  • Supports the Director of Conduct and Regulatory Affairs in the delivery of timely and pragmatic support for regulatory engagement and interpretation of regulatory requirements relating to the PRA

  • Provides comprehensive tracking of all regulatory actions and deadlines

  • Undertakes horizon scanning of UK financial services regulatory publications, providing timely and relevant analysis

  • Creates Regulatory Affairs reporting for the Director of Conduct and Regulatory Affairs for submission to the relevant AzH Committees

  • Supports the Director of Conduct and Regulatory Affairs in the second line compliance interpretation of regulatory change and review of forthcoming PRA requirements

  • Supports with the organisation, planning and management of ongoing meetings between the Compliance function and/or relevant AZUK SMF holders and the PRA Supervision Team

  • Supports the AZUK business and project portfolio with Compliance advice given knowledge of PRA regulatory requirements

  • Monitoring of the AZUK PRA Mailbox and notifications to regulators, with ongoing engagement with the business and Risk function to ensure regulatory deadlines and deliverables are provided to the PRA as required

    Excellent understanding of PRA regulations, Solvency II requirements, current UK general insurance market practice and issues.

  • Fundamental technical knowledge relating to financial risk and resilience, risk management frameworks and current topics of heightened PRA regulatory interest.

  • Excellent influencing, planning and organisational skills.

  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work proactively and under pressure.

  • Excellent communication ability - written and oral.

  • Sound analytical and data interpretation skills

  • Sound pragmatic judgement and an awareness of the UK financial services regulatory environment

  • Educated to further education level or equivalent.

  • Broad knowledge and experience of financial services, working within a governing function or role (general insurance compliance experience preferable)

  • Experience of interpreting regulatory and legal requirements within a general insurance environment

  • Previous experience of delivering on policy objectives within the first or second line of defence

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influencing effectively.
