Full Job Description

The post-holder will assist the Postgraduate Clinical Manager in the processing of medical staffing systems within the department. To provide a comprehensive operational/advisory service to the Postgraduate Team in respect of all aspects of medical staffing management. With support from the Postgraduate Clinical Manager they will ensure that a professional service is provided to the Postgraduate Department.

The post-holder will ensure that Trust policies, procedures and practices are fairly and consistently applied, supporting best practice to achieve organisational objectives and supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the Department.

The post holder will make significant contribution across the Department by working alongside the Lead Employer Trust (LET) to ensure both Trust and LET policies are implemented.

The post holder will provide provide pro-active support to their Postgraduate colleagues, Faculty and Doctors in Training (DIT).

Whilst elements of the role will be reactive, the post holder is encouraged to be proactive in their interventions and solution focused.

Deputise for other key personnel in the department as required., Proactively analyse and provide medical staffing information as directed by the Post-graduate Clinical Manager including the management of Occupational Health Reports, monitoring of sickness/absence process, pay queries and new starter reports.

Undertake service appropriate audits, interpret findings and contribute to the development of solution focused recommendations.

Regularly report to Post-graduate Clinical Manager on medical staffing activity.
