Full Job Description

  • Establish and maintain project schedules (tender, project and EPC) using information provided by discipline engineers, client, company norms and personal experience of industry.

  • Prepare Schedule Basis Memorandum or planning methodology documents to detail the logic used and assumptions made in developing a project schedule/plan

  • To provide input to planning deliverables and project reporting.

  • Provide project progress plans, s-curves and histograms during project execution

  • Subject matter expert for planning engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, Interpret project requirements and produce a compliant planning package (Network schedules, WBS, key milestones and interfaces, third party integration, reporting, etc.)

  • Input to project reporting

  • Maintain project schedules to reflect actual status of work

  • Check that scheduling control and progress reporting procedures are followed.

  • Prepare work breakdown structures, manpower histograms and S-Curves

  • Review critical activity and proposed corrective actions.

  • Update / produce weekly / monthly progress reports & dashboards

  • Review planned versus actual resource levels and highlight area of concerns.

  • Perform trend analysis and forecasting of project performance including schedule

  • Collaboration with Estimating Team during production of EPC schedules

  • Perform and support qualitative and quantitative schedule risk analysis (SRA) using standard software packages

  • Support change management, claim evaluation and what-if scenario simulations

  • Establish and maintain planning, schedule and productivity KPIs

  • Support lessons learnt and knowledge management process

    Primavera P6 (expert)

  • Microsoft Project

  • Schedule risk modelling software (Deltek, Safran, Primavera Risk or similar)

  • EPC LSTK, Detailed Engineering on large complex projects in energy and oil & gas

  • Progress measurement methods and tools

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • Good written verbal and communication skills


  • Advantageous Experience:
  • Engineering discipline degree

  • Experience of oil and gas projects across a number of disciplines and project phases

  • Primavera database administration

  • Advanced digital control and reporting packages (Ecosys, Prism, Power BI)

  • Data integration and exchange between progress and schedule systems
