Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Dispenser to join our busy team in Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in providing medication administration and patient care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.

Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of medications
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Assist in managing prescription orders and resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering their questions and addressing their concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management and adherence
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser/Assistant or similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

From £11.50 an hour - Permanent, Full-time, Competitive salary based on experience
