Full Job Description

To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:

Our son is 15 years old. Our son is a happy, laid-back individual. He likes to play on the floor with toys, watch his iPad and to sing and dance. He has a learning disability, and he recently has had a stroke which has left him with a physical disability. He is adapting after the stroke and is re-learning to communicate and feed himself. He needs support with all personal care, feeding and other day to day activities. He will also need support from his PA to support him with re learning tasks e.g., using a spoon to feed himself

Main duties:

Personal care

Support with-

Bathing

Shaving

Teeth cleaning

Dressing,

Administering medication

Feeding

Performing exercises/physiotherapy.

Domestic duties,

Preparing simple meals and snacks

Tidying his bedroom

Changing linen

Social duties

Do activities with our son at home that he enjoys.

Attend activities in the community

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Values We are looking for an honest and reliable PA who is able to build a good relationship with our son. You must be adaptable to meet his fluctuating needs.

Essential:
