Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for hard working, committed individuals to support qualified staff to provide safe high quality patient care within our procedure rooms at Stamford Hospital.

The Day Treatment Unit at Stamford Hospital consists of two procedure rooms with adjoining pre and post-operative patient areas.

The role will involve patient admissions, transfer of patients to the procedure rooms, operation of the scope processing machines, providing support for the patients whilst undergoing their procedure and post procedure care. There will also be an element of stock control and equipment management.

You will need to be keen to learn, be a good team player and a have a flexible approach to work.

To work as a member of the Peri-operative team assisting in the provision and delivery of an efficient and high quality patient journey. The Peri-operative Assistant (PA) will undertake patient transfer duties between / within the department and ward area. The practitioner will provide continuing support to the peri-operative teams during all phases of the patient's journey. The post holder will undertake all duties to a high standard whilst ensuring safe working practices., The PA will undertake all duties requested by the team leader PA's will undergo a competency training programme to ensure a safe patient service. The PA will undertake tasks in all areas of the department and external areas as required. All PA's will be rotated to support patient service requirements
