We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced People Operations Manager to play a crucial role in shaping the entire employee life journey and managing the operational activities of our People Operations function. This individual will oversee the people operations of TourAxis and brands, from operations, compliance, governance, onboarding new hires, offboarding, training and learning, HRIS management, engagement activities, people data analytics and metrics from every area of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success working in people operations/solutions team in a managerial/leadership role working in small, mid-size and large corporates, from a scaling-up perspective, matrix-model environment and possess the ability to integrate people operational activities seamlessly. This individual will have a hands-on approach /player-coach role., Administration/Operational Efficiency

  • To oversee and provide an efficient, progressive, and streamlined people operations service and advisory to both employees and managers.

  • Assist with the development, maintenance and roll-out and update/maintenance of company policies, procedures, and communications globally.

  • Preparation of all hiring paperwork with the objective to provide a positive experience to the candidates. Be the point of contact for all new hires.

  • Be the first point of contact internally for all employee and managers queries whether it is HRIS, policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, employee relations, etc.

  • Analyse the type of queries being sent to the People & Culture team to proactively tackle the issues, analyse trends and work towards effective solutions.


  • Ownership, Management and Maintenance of HRIS
  • Lead the collation and analysis of all people data from various sources, producing meaningful analysis and reporting to identify people trends across the wider business.

  • Own, manage and drive the weekly and monthly EE Voice/ShoutOuts, leverage these activities via our HRIS - monitor the EE feedback and metrics, identify trends and issue relevant reporting to improve the EE experience.

  • Proactively ensure enhanced reporting is made available via our HRIS for deeper insights

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all employee data within our HRIS.

  • Responsible for managing our HRIS, benefits and payroll systems, and providers and ensuring ROI and efficiency are at the heart of everything we do.

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day running of our HRIS and all ancillary disparate systems - ensuring we can connect the systems to be able to get a more holistic picture and keep it up to date. Responsible for the review and optimisation of these systems where necessary to ensure they provide a great/amazing candidate and employee experience as well as ROI.


  • Data Analytics & Reporting

    Payroll & Benefits Management
  • Administer our current employee benefits offering efficiently and manage the benefits project in the future when we are ready to evaluate.

  • Oversee and own our payroll and pensions activities for all our employees, contractors, locations.


  • Governance/Risk Management/Compliance
  • Be the primary contact with suppliers (such as government agencies, IT suppliers, etc) when it comes to submit paperwork for exited employees, managing equipment for new hires, etc.

  • Manage the relationships with our various EoRs partners to ensure governance and compliance for those employees as the company scales and expands in new territories.

  • Responsible for organising all the Right to Work, IR35 compliance, EoR employees and liaising with the Head of People & Culture to manage any issues.


  • Talent Acquisition
  • Collaborate in close partnership with the Talent Acquisition Partners and facilitate the entire recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding programmes for candidates and new hires globally.

  • Ensure our HRIS is set up for all our recruitment activity to drive a digital candidate experience

  • Be involved in improving and creating a great candidate experience aligned to our Employer Brand and EVP strategies

  • Ensure job descriptions and job scorecards are complete for any recruitment activity.


  • Talent Management, Performance & Engagement
  • Work with managers and leaders in the creation of KPIs per each role within their teams/functions.

  • Work in partnership with the Workspace Services team in London and Cape Town within various people projects (onboarding, offboarding, events, communications)

  • Organise and communicate the monthly training sessions - external and internal presenters and manager workshop sessions.

  • In conjunction with the Head of People and other stakeholders, support the L&D Plans to develop and deliver values and culture-focused training interventions to the business

  • Support managers in any performance related cases and/or employee relations issues working together with the Head of People & Culture in partnership.

  • Project manage the annual and mid-year performance review cycles from start to end.

  • Support and roll-out our annual pay reviews and bonus merit cycles - from planning, organisation to communication, and implementation.

  • Work with managers to facilitate coaching services available to managers and employees.

    University degree in business, economics or human resources from a reputable educational institution / a master's degree in human resources will be considered a plus

  • CIPD level 7 certified is a must

  • Previous 5+ years' experience in people operations or people solutions experience in both small, mid-size and large organisation where the candidate brings structure and flexibility

  • Very good and up-to-date UK and Europe employment law and regulations

  • Previous experience working within a People Operations/Solutions function, managing employee lifecycle activities.

  • Excellent presentation skills, comfortable with public speaking and presenting regularly.

  • Experience working with HR tech stacks and systems, supporting payroll and benefits programmes.

  • Experience working with various HRIS such as Bamboo, Workday, ADP, and others

  • Super organised, passionate about accuracy, efficiency, and detail.

  • Experience in compiling and monitoring HR metrics and reports.

  • Advanced technology user - Proficient in using G Workspace Suite, MS Office, and other productivity tools.

  • Analytical, creative, and logical thinker "thinking outside the box".

  • Passion for delivering exceptional avant-garde, people service and advisory to both employees and leaders

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to all levels of audiences.

  • Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across various geographies and cultures.

  • Strong HR generalist skills in administration, people relations, operations, project management, people partnering, data analytics and metrics.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience with HR Transformation/change management programmes is an advantage!

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionally handle sensitive information.

  • Foreign languages other than English will be considered a plus.

  • Ability to travel to our other main offices in Cape Town and elsewhere when needed., Bachelor's (required), People Operations: 5 years (required)
