Are you ready to explore the possibilities with Nufarm? As a Payroll Project Lead, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing payroll efficiency and supporting our business's future needs.

We are looking for an individual who has proven experience to collaborate with our current team, continually reviewing existing processes, systems and ways of working within payroll.

As the Payroll Project Lead, you will establish and implement new processes to optimise the efficiency of payroll service and support the future needs of the Business.

We are also looking for a hands-on individual to get involved with the day-to-day operational requirements of the department including processing payroll, creating and maintaining employees' payroll records, calculating wages and applicable deductions based on employee's attendance records and entering payroll information into the system for processing through to preparing journals and BACS processing.

Responsibilities:

Process Excellence: Continuously evaluate existing processes, systems, and workflows. Implement new strategies to enhance payroll efficiency.

Accurate Payroll Management: Handle payroll promptly and precisely. Maintain employee records, calculate wages, and manage deductions based on attendance.

System Integration: Enter payroll data into our system, ensuring seamless processing and preparing journals and BACS files.

Year-End Support: Assist with year-end processes related to payroll, tax, and pension.

Collaboration: Provide accurate advice and guidance to colleagues.

Reporting: Generate payroll reports for record-keeping purposes.

Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and streamline procedures.

Project Leadership: Lead payroll-related initiatives.

  • Previous experience in Payroll is essential.

  • Advanced knowledge of payroll systems and software with experience of system automation and process improvement initiatives

  • Excellent knowledge of employee legislation as it effects absence for SSP/SMP/SPP/SAP

  • Demonstrable experience/knowledge of statutory legislation relating to Statutory Payments

  • Payroll qualification desirable - CIPP

  • At least two years UK payroll experience gained in absence management in a fast- paced environment.

    Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
