Full Job Description
- Activities:
- Create engaging and inclusive activities that align with Phab Torbay's values.
- Plan sessions, outings, and events that promote social interaction, creativity, and personal growth.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment.
- Promote self-esteem and independence.
- Safeguarding and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Attend relevant training sessions (including safeguarding training) to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Implement risk assessments and safety protocols during activities.
- Budget Management:
- Working within a committee structure to develop and manage Phab Torbay's budget.
- Allocate funds effectively for supplies, outings, and special events.
- Keep accurate records of expenses and receipts.
- Maintain accurate accounts that will be regularly scrutinised by the management committee and audited annually.
- Participate in fundraising and bid writing to local and national funding groups.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with parents/carers to understand participants' requirements.
- Communicate effectively with families during arrival and departure times.
- Collaborate with other staff members and volunteers.
- Committee Reporting:
- Provide updates to the Phab Torbay management committee.
- Attend committee meetings and contribute insights.
- Inclusion and Diversity:
- Celebrate diversity and adapt activities accordingly.
- Promote a sense of belonging.
