Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented PR Specialist to join our commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the public image and reputation of our organization through various media channels and will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand visibility and reputation. Responsibilities will include:

Content Creation:

  • Conduct thorough research on customs-related topics, industry trends, and best practices.

  • Plan and develop a consistent flow of high-quality, on-brand articles that showcase Barbourne Brook's expertise.

  • Craft engaging content for distribution via email, social media, and our website.


  • PR Strategy and Evaluation:
  • Align PR activities with broader business and marketing objectives.

  • Continuously evaluate and refine PR efforts to maximize impact.

  • Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns.


  • Key Messaging Development:
  • Collaborate with leadership to create dynamic corporate and product key messages.

  • Ensure alignment with the strategic direction and objectives of the business.


  • Marketing Materials:
  • Produce on-brand copy for marketing collateral, including the website and product brochures.

  • Maintain consistency in tone of voice and professional writing standards.


  • Collaboration and Accuracy:
  • Work closely with team members to ensure technical accuracy in all communications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PR efforts seamlessly.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in public relations strategies and techniques.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Proven experience in PR, content creation, and brand messaging.

  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for detail.

  • Familiarity with customs and trade-related topics is advantageous.


  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

    Successful Candidate:

  • Public relations: 2 years (required)

  • Very flexible hybrid working arrangement.
    Salary c.£25,000 - 28,000 pa PRO-RATA
