Full Job Description

This is an exciting time to join ION where you will be joining a specialist team. As our resilience education and awareness lead you will be responsible for supporting the education of the resilience programme across ION markets, in addition to client and regulatory engagement collaboration.
The successful candidate will have a track record and hands experience of developing, implementing and improving the awareness programme for operational Resilience. Experience of employee training and awareness to support the maturation of the programme is key. Ideally experience within financial services background, the successful candidate will have a creative background with the ability to communicate across all levels..
Focused primarily on operational resilience the successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing the resilience education programme across ION markets. They will be responsible for the education and awareness of the programme, supporting all aspects of resilience best practice, testing and exercising and programme communications.
The role holder will work as part of the Operational Resilience function and will contribute to broader resilience/BCP and crisis management work delivered by the Head of Operational Resilience.,

  • Play a leading role in reporting the maturity of the operational resilience programme and associated risks.

  • Be versed in setting up and managing employee awareness and training across all Operational resilience disciplines.

  • Create and oversee the training of ION staff members with regards to Business Impact Assessments, BC Plan creation and operational resilience mapping.

  • Developing an annual education programme with maturity metrics and prioritisation of requirements.

  • Manage the ISO 27001 compliance in coordination with the risk team, ensuring the operational resilience components are met.

  • Develop client education packs to provide assurance of the operational resilience programme for ION's key clients.

  • Own the operational resilience maturity model and define metrics for demonstrating progress and development.

  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to create and manage a change management process to support the embedding operational resilience across ION markets.

  • Manage the Operational Resilience component of Everbridge (alert notification tool) and undertake call tree exercising and engagement of.

  • Develop, produce and implement communication layers for operational resilience, for example, BCP flyers, Crisis management wallet cards and education and awareness site/sharepoint.

  • Contribute to horizon scanning, scenario and strategic risk analysis to help identify, quantify, evaluate and plan for potential future reputation and policy risks within the context of the company strategy and positioning.

  • Collaborate effectively with other senior internal stakeholders and develop escalation frameworks from incident to crisis management across IT, BCP, communication and vendor management stakeholders.

    Has experience in an education, risk and/or operational resilience function.

  • Has prior experience of developing education and awareness programmes across complex organisations.

  • Is creative and can develop training manuals and support documentation for both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Is a strong strategic thinker with the ability and skill set to see the bigger picture as well as understand the nuance and details across different parts of the company.

  • Technically proficient and will be required to utilise the operational resilience tool (Fusion RM) to support the development of the programme.

  • Management of call tree exercises and employee engagement.

  • Has understanding of ISO standards and alignment of the awareness requirements.

  • A creative flair, with experience of stakeholder engagement, presenting and using varied education methods to develop learning and development of operational resilience.

  • Will manage the maturity of the ION markets awareness of resilience and demonstrating improved education and knowledge.

  • Will align with business and technical stakeholders to develop change management and controls process, demonstrating embedding of resilience across business functions.

  • Has prior experience of interacting with stakeholders from different territories/markets to identify geographical/local risks and support on preparation/management as needed.

  • Possesses excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills; able to listen to and engage effectively with senior network/global leaders during times when emotions and risks are high.

  • Has a proven track record of handling confidential information with sensitivity, integrity and good judgement.
