Full Job Description

The role primarily involves assisting in office based administrative activities relating to multimedia forensics for use within the Criminal Justice System within a small forensic laboratory based in Birmingham., This is a multi-faceted role, covering a range of tasks. Expected responsibilities include:

- Enquiry handling;

- Case management;

- Quality assurance reviews of reports;

- Performing internal audits to industry standards and codes;

- Assisting with ensuring examiners are compliant with the industry standards and codes;

- Handling of complaints;

The bulk of the work is expected to pertain to internal audits and assisting with compliance due to the current shifting nature of forensics toward such.

Opportunities for progression would be expected once competency in more fundamental tasks has been demonstrated.

The position is ideal for an individual with experience working within a similar role.

Strong organisational and communication skills are of paramount importance, as is meticulous attention to detail.

A degree of autonomy and the ability to work efficiently is expected.
