Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Manager to take over the day to day running of our Stockton nursery.

Our Stockton setting is based in the centre of Stockton's busy town and is situated across one floor consisting of 3 rooms, dinning room and 4 outdoor spaces.

Stockton nursery is a busy well established setting with an experienced and capable staff team. The nursery is a busy nursery so candidates would need to be experienced in running a nursery setting to ensure that they are able to support the team and take on the role to the highest of standards.

We run our settings based around the Curiosity Approach allowing each individual child to learn through the means of exploring and imagination.

Do you have the creative skills to provide a stimulating and exciting environment for children to investigate and develop in?

Roles and skills would include:

  • Helping the staff to develop in their roles and personal development


  • Encouraging the children to progress in their development


  • Engaging and interacting with parents and families


  • Running the nursery management system, keeping child details, bookings and bills up to date


  • Handling fees


  • Attending and holding meetings


  • Ensuring that paper work is kept up to date

    Having a strong knowledge of EYFS, Safeguarding and all other relevant legislation


  • Ability to build good partnerships with partner schools and other agencies


  • Ability to provide support to a strong staff team


  • Attending meetings with external agencies and being part of assessments


  • Good knowledge on SEN and ability to complete relevant forms


  • A creative nature to promote and continue to develop our natural setting


  • To maintain our staff well being program ensuring positivity throughout the team


  • Applicants must have experience as a nursery manager as the setting is a large established setting so applicants would need to be able to adjust quickly.

    We are looking for somebody who has a minimum of 3 years experience in Early Years, who holds minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years childcare, who has strong leadership and management skills and is able to demonstrate a passion for Early Years and childcare.

    Up to £24,400 a year - Permanent, Full-time, Competitive rates of pay, pension scheme available and on going support and training from a strong Senior team. Wellness program including weekly wellness days, termly wellness team meetings, termly staff awards and so much more.
