Full Job Description

As a Network Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for creation and development of an Infrastructure as Code platform to coordinate and sequence steps and activities according to flows and rules in the business process. You will work as part of an agile team in development projects, contributing to all areas of the development lifecycle, working to deliver outcomes encompassing many development techniques and interacting with all parts of the business. This is a fixed term contract until end of 2024,

  • Subject matter expert in networking automation & Infrastructure as Code within a Juniper and Netbox environment.

  • Identify, suggest, and deliver improvements to existing tools, systems, and processes.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and report on runbook automation workflows.

  • Deliver well-structured development and supporting material to a schedule.

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient scripts predominantly across several different scripting & automation languages such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell and extending to other languages and environments where required.

  • Continual improvement and deployment of new features and bug fixes.

  • Supporting existing systems and new projects.

  • Continue to learn and share experience within the team.

    Considerable experience in network automation and Infrastructure as code

  • Knowledge of Netbox for CMDB / DCIM

  • Knowledge of Juniper Networking

  • Strong experience in Python
