Full Job Description

  • Assist senior technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various mechanical and electrical systems

  • Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments

  • Participate in equipment installations and upgrades under supervision

  • Develop proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests and projects

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

  • Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions

  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and product knowledge

  • Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries, explain service procedures, and provide recommendations

  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking parts and supplies used during service operations

    Your Development and Future Prospects:

    All of our Apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at our state-of-the-art Training Centre in Coventry.

    Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules.

    Throughout your apprenticeship journey, we are committed to nurturing your growth and development, guiding you toward attaining a widely recognized qualification in the motor industry. This qualification serves as a cornerstone for building your career, offering abundant opportunities within our expanding Dealer Network. Upon successful completion of the program, you'll be well-equipped to advance and transition into new roles.

    Under the guidance of experienced technicians, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of Stellantis products and services. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanics, problem-solving, and providing exceptional customer service., The Programme lasts for 24-40 months and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification: Level 2 Autocare (24 months) and on successful completion of this, the apprentice will move onto the Level 3 Light Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (12 months)., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Team working, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade (Grade C/4) essential) Essential

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
    Minimum Wage Rates
  • Working week

  • Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 5.00 pm and Friday from 8.40 am - 4.30 pm. Initially a 40 hour week to progress to 42 when over 18 years of age., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
