Middle Office - Tier 1 Hedge Fund

To be considered for this fabulous opportunity, CassonX are looking to identify someone who is degree educated and offers Python, SQL or VBA technical skills, and some knowledge in a Fixed Income or OTC Operations or Middle Office/Trade Support role. You will ideally have knowledge of Treasury, Collateral or Cash Management processes, and how this is really important working with supporting the lifecycle of trades. Preference will be given to those with experience in Cash or Non-Cash Collateral, Margin Calls, Treasury Optimisation, Cash Management,
Liquidity Management, Funding, Forecasting or Position Keeping. They would prefer to hire someone who is working in a Hedge Fund, but would consider someone from the sell-side or Prime Broker also. What is most important is being able to showcase a mentality that would be successful in aptitude assessments and mental arithmetic. This might be demonstrable in education as part of a degree where you have covered statistics or even quant focussed modules. Being able to work things out, methodically, and in correct order, will be able to showcase natural logic to working our problems. That's why coding skills and appreciation of VBA, Python and SQL are important. Being able to identify and then document an error/issue, create a code to improve/automate, check the code works, and then test it, is a prime way to demonstrate logical thinking. This very broad role is very important for the company, as it's the last line in the Operations workflow. You will experience all things Margin Call
Management, Trade Capture, Liquidity Monitoring, Cash Management, and FX Rolls, in a position that works directly with the Front Office daily and supports the lifecycle of trades once settled.
