Full Job Description

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will ensure that the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families and act as patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met throughout their time with us.

You will work closely with a large multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all individual care plans are followed whilst adhering to the policies, procedures and guidelines that relate to nursing.

You will be required to ensure meals are supervised and care plan around meals are followed, be able to administer meal replacement plans as prescribed by the hospital dietitian and ensure a high standard of infection control and the prevention of all avoidable healthcare associated infections.

The successful candidate will be a compassionate, resilient and open-minded individual who is adaptable, creative and able to provide high levels of support to patients throughout time with us. You will be a qualified Mental Health Nurse with NMC registration (RMN) and have the ability to manage a caseload of patients.

Previous experience with the patient group is desirable but a special interest, motivation and enthusiasm to work in this area is more important as full training will be given.

Schoen Clinic York is a highly specialised Private Eating Disorder Hospital for adults in the North of England. We are currently based on the ground floor of Minster Grange, and in July 2024 will be expanding to cover the full building with other service lines. We are situated just off Haxby Road which is 10 minutes' drive from York Train Station and 4 miles from the A64.

We offer highly specialised treatments for adults with Eating Disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa through inpatient residential care, private short-stay support and day care treatment via outpatients. All of the treatments we provide are delivered in conjunction with each patient to be individualised to their needs.
