A Medical Device Technician - (£26,500) this role is similar to the Stores and Inventory Technician however includes more customer
services acts.

Both roles need attention to detail and the successful candidates should feel at ease working on the shop floor and be proficient
in handling client interactions through phone calls and emails.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours - Flexible between 8am-7pm Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work when necessary., We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Device Technician to join our team, specialising in handling medical
devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the storage, organisation, reconciliation and
distribution of implant kits and Medical Devices. This role requires a strong commitment to quality control, accuracy, and
compliance with regulatory standards. This position is customer services driven, inventory and warehouse. The successful candidate
should feel at ease working on the shop floor and be proficient in handling client interactions through phone calls and emails.
Completing the whole cycle from initial contact, to getting the implant kits ready, liaising with transport, letting the customer
know ETA/PODs, arranging collection of kits and rescanning and replenishing when back.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Inspection:

  • Receive incoming shipments of medical devices, ensuring accurate quantities and proper documentation.

  • Conduct thorough inspections to verify the quality and condition of received medical devices.


  • Customer Services:

  • Inbound - Answering phone calls / emails from either the client, rep, or hospital in relation to implant kit requests and

  • enquiries.
  • Outbound - Ringing hospitals for collections. Finding out exact whereabouts of products.

  • Liaising with Transport to arrange same day collections / deliveries.


  • Inventory Management:

  • Using our management systems to accurately record and track medical devices.

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits.


  • Storage and Organisation:

  • Safely store medical devices in designated areas, following established storage procedures.

  • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to maintain product integrity.


  • Order Fulfilment:

  • Process and fulfil orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely shipment to customers.


  • Quality Control:

  • Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure they meet established standards.

  • Report any deviations or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.


  • Compliance:

  • Adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines governing the storage and handling of medical devices.

  • Participate in training programs to stay informed about industry regulations and best practices.


  • Safety and Security:

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with the safety team to identify and address potential hazards.

  • Monitor and enforce security measures to protect valuable medical devices.

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15kgs.


  • Required:

  • Any operator processing returned product will be expected to undergo yearly hepatitis vaccination.

  • Any operator processing returned product will be expected to undergo yearly annual eye-sight test with a Pass Criteria of

  • minimum visual acuity of 0.8 (80%), in order to detect defects little as 300μm.
