Full Job Description

Marketing
- Be the person responsible for all facets of Active Away marketing.
- Work with the Managing Director to devise and deliver the annual marketing plan.
- Deliver on the 2x key marketing campaigns - The Launch and The Final Call.
- Create the written content, follow ups and sequences.
- Deliver a monthly 1500 word blog post that is uploaded on our website and follows our SOP.
- Manage the events executive and devise their day-to-day tasks (such as social media engagement), by creating clear SOPs, measuring KPI's and actively monitoring performance.
- Work with and manage the Creative Executive to ensure key time-lines are met and work is produced to a high standard.

Website
- Be the person responsible for all areas of the Active Away website.
- Keeping the website up to date with relevant content, information and removing old content.
- Copy - keeping the copy on the website up to date as product changes happen. Have a responsibility for the website reflecting the actual product. - Imagery - updating relevant imagery on the website where required.
- New content - be the person principally responsible for setting up new locations and venues.

Communication
- Be the 'number 2' person on the phone lines.
- Manage the hello@activeaway.com inbox alongside the administration manager.
- Handling new bookings and booking changes as well as inbound/ outbound phone calls., 1. Timely delivery of all marketing campaigns.
2. Outcome of all marketing campaigns.
3. Detailed marketing reporting.
4. Quality of website.
5. Delivery of website KPIs.
6. Response time for hello@activeaway.com emails as well as phone call response time.
7. Effective management of Events Executive & Creative Executive.

Marketing - Previous marketing experience would be useful, but is not required. Experience with the following marketing tools:
- Organic Social Media
- Paid Social Media

- CRM Systems
- No Code automations (Zapier/Make) - Email Marketing
- SMS Marketing
- PR

Computer Experience - Previous experience with the below software would be useful, but is not required:
- Meta Business Suite
- Indesign

- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Google Sheets / MS Excel - Google Docs / MS Word
- Mac User
- Slack
- Keap/Infusionsoft
- Make

Soft Skills -
- Ability to work as part of a small, driven team
- Ability to take ownership and have accountability - Ability to problem solve

Phone/Email Skills - It is a requirement to be confident on the phone and responding to emails in a professional manner.

Tennis/Padel/Pickleball - Have played or have a reasonable knowledge of these sports.,

    Basic Salary - £25,000/annum

  • Bonus - maximum of £4,000 payable 31 October 2025 (and annually after). Directorship - Opportunity to progress to a Director in 3-5 years. Computer Equipment - Apple MacBook and iPhone provided for business use.

    LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS

    Typical Working Schedule - Monday - Friday - 09:00 - 17:00.
    Weekends - Expectation that you 'check in' on a Saturday/Sunday - especially in busy periods.
    Fully Remote - This role is 'fully remote' and enables you to work from home.
