Full Job Description

Established in 1981 as Age Concern Preston, renamed in 2009 to Age Concern Central Lancashire and in 2024 to 'Regenerage' we are ever-evolving charity for older people. With a history of 40+ years of impactful work we pride ourselves on providing essential services to older individuals and their caregivers.

This is a newly established role, reporting to the Directorof Fundraising & Corporate Sponsorship, and working strategically with the leadership team. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with the charity's mission, collaborating with stakeholders for brand enhancement and financial growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with the charity's mission, collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for brand enhancement and financial growth.

  • Cultivate and maintain a strong, positive public image for the charity by ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels, materials, and overseeing the development and maintenance of brand guidelines.

  • Lead the creation of compelling and engaging cross-platform content, including social media, website, press releases, and marketing collateral, while supervising the development of multimedia content to ensure alignment with the brand narrative.

  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and influencers, execute campaigns for positive coverage and awareness.

  • Oversee the digital marketing strategy, encompassing social media management, email campaigns, and online advertising, while analysing data and metrics to optimise efforts and enhance reach.

  • Collaborate with the Directorof Fundraising and Corporate Sponsorship to develop and implement marketing strategies, creating compelling narratives to attract donors, sponsors, and encourage ongoing support.

  • Ensure effective internal communication strategies, aligning staff and volunteers with the charity's mission and goals, and fostering a culture of brand advocacy among team members.


  • Duties
  • Achieve the level of computer competency as required for the role.

  • Participate in and contribute to the organisation's activities, events and meetings.

  • Undertake other duties which may be required by the organisation that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the role.


  • Training

    The organisation is committed to support continuous professional development (CPD). There is an expectation that the post holder will complete mandatory and role specific training within the probationary period and maintain a level of competence throughout their employment with us. Training includes Safeguarding, GDPR and Health and Safety. This list is not exhaustive.

  • This role requires a basic disclosure and barring service check.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior marketing or communications role, ideally within the profit and non-profit sector.

  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated success in brand management, media relations, and digital marketing.

  • Familiarity with fundraising strategies and tactics.

  • To demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

  • To demonstrate professionalism, whilst having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

    £38,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time, Competitive Salary.

  • Generous Pension Scheme of Employer Contribution of 6% and Employee Contribution of 2%.
