Full Job Description

As a Market Intelligence Analyst you will identify the best sources of fertilizer market intelligence relevant to POLY4 and the wider Crop Nutrients business to develop a broad understanding of AACN's markets, customers and competitors. You will work initially in the Commercial Strategy team though work closely with stakeholders throughout the Solutions and Marketing team to translate information into actionable insight.

This role is to be be located in the UK, France, Germany, Italy or the Netherlands

Your duties will include:

  • Identify, analyse and manage a wide network of sources of information / intelligence across fertilizer markets, customers, and competitors

  • Develop a broad network of internal and external sources to capture data and insights

  • Compile and manage a repository of intelligence and data

  • Develop and roll-out processes and tools that allow stakeholders to easily access intelligence and insight

  • Create intelligence reports, forward-looking insights and deep-dive analysis (both ad-hoc and regular) with actionable insight

  • Identify, analyse and manage key customer and competitor intelligence that meaningfully influences strategy and decision-making

  • Uncover market opportunities and evaluate value-capture potential

  • Liaise with regional heads and coordinate and consolidate data and insight

  • Work with regional teams and external agencies to collect requirement, determine scope, and finalise market intelligence project timelines

  • Oversee and profile competing products, in areas such as value proposition, pricing and sales strategies to assist in the product strategy development

  • Work with Product / Marketing Data Analysts on competitive offerings, financials, pricing, and marketing positioning.

  • Ensure all data is captured, stored and managed in accordance with data policies

  • Uphold corporate sustainability and social policies and responsibilities

  • Adhere to people policies and practices

  • Support direct and indirect teams working in a collaborative manner

    Bachelors (equivalent) within a business or analytical discipline

  • Experience of working within a commercial, strategic and/or consulting function is essential.

  • Experience analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, identifying. implications and observing patterns, drawing conclusions, and explaining facts, data or information from a wide variety of resources.

  • Demonstrable experience of working across multiple, varied projects and handling large volumes of data across different types.

  • Demonstrable understanding of statistical analysis outputs.

  • Knowledge of fertilizer industry preferred but not essential.

  • Advanced experience with a range of data manipulation techniques.

  • Proficient communication to business stakeholders as well as analysts and product leads

  • Proficient experience in customer/market research.

  • Proficient knowledge of competitor positioning strategies.

  • Developing knowledge of the competitive product landscape.

  • We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite - a unique multi-nutrient fertiliser - along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing, and distribution.

    POLY4 is our flagship multi-nutrient fertiliser product. Made from polyhalite, it contains four of the six macro-nutrients and many micronutrients that are essential to plant growth. It allows farmers to maximise their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.
