Full Job Description

On a day to day basis, the Manufacturing Technician will be building high tech instrumentation. This is a final assembly role so the majority of the components have already been built and your role will be to put them together following clear engineering drawings and workflow diagrams. There will be a small amount of soldering and fine wiring, but the main part of the role will be mechanical assembly using hand tools, leak testing and more. So if you like variety, this could be the Manufacturing Technician role for you.

The successful Manufacturing Technician will need to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated technician with excellent analytical and technical skills. You will also have a combination of the following:

  • 2 years hands-on experience in a similar mechanical biased high tech, low volume role

  • Mechanical assembly and testing skills preferably with scientific instrumentation

  • Skilled in the use of tools, equipment and testing equipment

  • Excellent communicator, able to work with colleagues and peers

  • Utilise best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods as introduced

  • A levels, BTEC l/II or HND / HNC

  • Excellent electrical and mechanical understanding
