Macmillan Welfare Benefits Adviser

About the role: We're looking for a dedicated individual to join our Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice Team. You'll work closely with people affected by cancer, providing compassionate advice on welfare benefits.

The main purpose of the role is: Offer guidance and support on welfare benefits via phone, letter, online meetings, and in-person visits (when necessary). Assist clients in making well-informed choices about their benefits. Advocate for clients, contacting services and negotiating on their behalf to maximise their income. Carefully maintain records to ensure seamless service for our clients.

About You: You're someone who understands the challenges faced by people with cancer. You're patient, kind, and an excellent listener. Your goal is to empower clients and help them navigate a complex system.
